Saaremaa Bridge

This seven-kilometre bridge to replace the existing ferry line is neither economically-viable nor justifiable since construction costs are seriously underestimated. It is a luxury project for a small country and would for a long time take away financing from other infrastructure investments and maintenance. The bridge would also damage a NATURA 2000 site and significantly affect birds and sea mammals.
