This workshop aims to familiarise reporters from European Neighbourhood countries with issues related to reporting energy and energy markets, particularly with a focus on European public and private investors in the Neighbourhood region.

Specific attention will be given to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and its role in energy finance. Following a one day workshop, participants will be accredited to attend the EBRD Annual Meetings and Business Forum in Istanbul. The workshop will be held 9 May 2013 prior to the EBRD meetings on 10-11 May 2013.
The workshop is open to participants from the following European Neighbourhood countries: Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Jordan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey.
The workshop is being organised with the assistance of the Guardian Foundation.

James, Mika and Emma Hughes are part of Platform, a London-based arts, human rights and environmental justice organisation that has pioneered diverse and far reaching responses to issues of international importance for more than 25 years.

Bankwatch offers funding for participants that includes economy class travel expenses, transfers and accommodation for the duration of the event. Please note that there is limited space for this training, and participants will be selected on the basis of information in their application.
