This briefing describes Ukrainian cities’ efforts for green development before the war and their plans for green post-war reconstruction. It describes the current state of the cities that are involved in the EBRD Green Cities programme and what these and similar cities will need to be rebuilt. It also calls on international funders and donors to use their leverage to rebuild and modernise cities in Ukraine in a way that ensures their sustainability and liveability, including the voices of residents in the process.
