Originally from Lengeri Vakhtang inherited his father’s position of a chore director at the Riho Ensemble Group.

‘He has been to Germany and other European countries’, ‘he’s famous in Svaneti’, ‘yes, I know him’, ‘he’s my friend’ locals say all around the region.

Well versed in traditional folk music, Vakhtang is also a proud father of two daughters, a guesthouse owner and a farmer.

Vakhtang is the leader of the Riho ensamble from Lengeri.

Svaneti is threatened by massive hydropower developments

We are trying to prevent that and preserve the regions unique way of life.
