Markus is a Senior Policy and Advocacy Officer at the European Network on Debt and Development (Eurdoad), working on environmental taxation. He started his NGO career with CEE Bankwatch back in Prague in 2008. Since then, he has a history of campaigning in Brussels with various environmental NGO networks on EU fiscal policies. He got advanced degrees in economic, social and political sciences after spending his academic years in Western, Southern and Eastern Europe. Markus speaks German, English, Bulgarian, Spanish and French.
