We are seeking a campaigner for 'Greening EU funds for sustainable regional development'

The campaigner will be working for CEE Bankwatch Network and its member organisation, Polish Green Network. The position will be full-time, based in Warsaw.

Job profile / main responsibilities:

• Implementing a lobby and advocacy campaign on greening EU regional development funding: influencing the programming of EU funds under Cohesion Policy 2014-2020 in Poland with the aim of improving their impact on environment and sustainable development across all sectors
• Monitoring the spending of current Cohesion Policy funds (2007-2013) in Poland, interventions regarding controversial shifts in allocations or projects, gathering information about positive cases
• Facilitating the work of the national environmental NGO coalition working on EU funds (http://ekoprojekty.pl); preparing draft positions of the coalition
• Involvement in advocacy regarding shaping future Cohesion Policy on European level (European Commission, European Parliament and Council)
• Identifying and outreach towards key stakeholders, allies and campaign targets
• Developing and implementing communication activities, publications, work with media
• Implementation of project activities e.g. organizing workshops, debates

Profile of the ideal candidate:

• Understanding of and readiness to pursue Bankwatch’s and Polish Green Network’s mission, objectives and values
• Fluent spoken and written Polish and English
• University degree and minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Ability to work effectively, independently and in teams; experience in work in international NGO networks will be an advantage
• Good communication and public outreach skills
• Good organizational skills, experience in project implementation (events, publications)
• Experience in campaigning, advocacy, media work
• Knowledge of EU funds and EU policies, orientation in a wide spectrum of environmental topics
• Experience in working on sustainable transport will be an advantage
