In this input to the public consultation on the mining strategy of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Bankwatch, HEAL, Re:Common call for a complete halt of EBRD support to coal mining projects. While the entire mining sector has significant CO2 emissions, the most notable ones are generated in coal mining, which the EBRD’s draft mining strategy now demonstrates it will continue supporting.
