Advocacy letter | 7 October 2019
Bankwatch and over 70 other civil society groups have written to President of the European Investment Bank Werner Hoyer, members of the bank’s board of directors as well as the incoming President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and its Executive Vice President for the European Green Deal Frans Timmermans, to urge the bank to table its first and more ambitious draft of the new Energy Lending Policy at the board’s meeting on 15 October, as part of Europe’s commitment to avert climate breakdown.
