Maja has extensive experience in legal and policy affairs, including several years of EU – level advocacy work in Brussels, where she was involved in multi-stakeholder coordination on a number of EU initiatives. Her university teaching and consultancy work have allowed her to develop skills such as legislative drafting, and legal and policy research and analysis. She holds a PhD in law, with focus on EU law.

Heating in the region is still largely based on fossil fuels or wood, the district heating networks are in dire condition, and in poorly insulated buildings winter is not as cosy as it could be. Authorities across the Western Balkans need to pay much more attention to planning and implementing clean and modern heating solutions.
