Branka Španiček

Branka Španiček is a river protection and restoration expert. She was fundraising and working on projects implemented in the world’s first 5-country Biosphere Reserve Mura-Drava-Danube (focusing on river restoration, species protection, design of management and planning documents, monitoring, etc.). She was leading dam removal initiative in Western Balkans and has experience in sediment excavation and inland navigation issues. She holds a Master’s degree in Geography from the Faculty of Science in Zagreb (Croatia).
