Catching the train of development

The EU has designated 2015 as the ‘Year of Development’, with a goal of writing a new framework for understanding the inter-linkages between Europe and countries outside of the Union in areas like energy and the environment. While refining these goals is a top priority for the EU, the public in V4 countries remains precariously ill-informed about how their daily lives and the actions taken by elected officials on their behalf are connected to countries abroad. With an overreliance on resource imports from abroad, V4 countries are particularly exposed to the volatility of events outside the EU.

This project, supported by the Visegrad Fund, aims to address this deficit in public understanding and as well harness the current political momentum in order to strengthening cooperation among V4 countries.
