Joint civil society letter: Creating a truly Paris-aligned EIB

Advocacy letter    |    2 May 2023

The Fossil Free EIB coalition wrote a joint letter to the European Investment Bank (EIB) to express its views on the upcoming review of the EIB Climate Bank Roadmap. Although the EIB made progress in implementing its fossil ban, the Bank needs to do more to address the direct and indirect negative impact of its activities on climate change and other disruptive ecological effects. The Fossil Free EIB coalition calls on the Bank to make significant and tangible progress in this regard and to ensure that its lending practices align with a socially just transition.
