Ukraine’s reconstruction must ensure transparency, environmental standards and public participation

The scale of destruction caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine has been staggering. To repair the damage, joint efforts to coordinate donations and properly plan Ukraine’s reconstruction must start as soon as possible.
Ahead of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2023, Bankwatch has prepared a short guide with key issues and recommendations for the international community and international financial institutions to ensure a successful reconstruction of Ukraine. This issue paper explores topics such as participation in shaping national recovery plans, dialogue with civil society organizations, green recovery and reconstruction, and donor coordination.
