The letter calls for President Mirow to ensure an inclusive debate about the banks role and priorities while the EBRD’s undertakes its Capital Resources Review 4 (CRR4). Bankwatch request that the bank consults external stakeholders about the review, and that background materials related to the process are publicly disclosed in a timely manner. Letter to the World Bank regarding its new disclosure policy

The letter recognises the steps forward taken by the World Bank by accepting the principle that all Bank information should be available to the public unless it falls within the scope of the regime of exceptions. However, the undersigned are asking the bank to consider a revision of the regime of exemptions, to recommend explicit commitments to disclose specific drafts and ensure translation of key documents. The letter also reiterates support and expectations for a robust implementation and monitoring of the new disclosure norms.
