In October, the Commission a comprehensive assessment of all NECPs that were submitted by Member States earlier in the year. The plans should outline the pathway to achieving the EU’s collective goal of a 40 per cent reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (compared to 1990 levels) by increasing the share of renewables and improving energy efficiency.

Statele UE din Europa Centrală și de Est (ECE), printre care și România, nu au oferit aproape nici o informație despre cum intenționează să cheltuiască din noul fond de 671 de miliarde de euro al Mecanismului de Redresare și Reziliență (RRF), destinat reconstrucției economiilor într-o formă mai bună și în spiritul Acordului Verde European, conform unui nou raport întocmit de CEE Bankwatch Network, o confederație de asociații civice, ecologice și pentru drepturile omului din ECE, relatează Emerging Europe, citată de Rador.
