Email: anelias AT bankwatch.org
Tel.: +00393338092492

Anelia joined Bankwatch in 2000 as the Bulgarian national coordinator in Bankwatch member group Za Zemiata (For the Earth).

Her campaign work in Bulgaria was focused on the transport and waste management sectors and their impact on the environment. She worked in cooperation with local NGOs and Initiative Committees on several projects applying for EU ISPA grants. Anelia has been a member of the ISPA Monitoring Committee in Bulgaria as a representative of Za Zemiata.

Between 2004 and 2007, Anelia coordinated Bankwatch’s transport campaigns, which included assistance to local campaigns, advocacy work on EU level and analyses of EU, EIB and EBRD Transport policy. In 2007 Anelia took over the coordination of Bankwatch policy work on EIB, EU funds, transport and climate.

Since 2014, Anelia is Bankwatch’s programme director. She is also representing Bankwatch in Green 10, the coalition of leading environmental non-governmental organisations working in Brussels.

Anelia holds a Master's Degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy.
