Just transition campaigner, Estonia
Email:Tel.:
I hold a BA degree in Environmental protection but right after graduation my second passion lead me to work as a producer in a Tallinn based community radio for a few years instead. In 2024 I’m more than happy to join Estonian Green Movement and Bankwatch in the Just Transition team and work in line with my values for a better tomorrow.

Community energy has emerged as a quiet undercurrent in Estonia, but has yet to firmly establish itself in the broader energy debate. Still, a number of pioneering communities across the country have already taken control of their energy production and consumption. Aiming to replace fossil fuels with cleaner and more affordable alternatives, they have adopted practical solutions that combine local needs, renewable energy and cooperative collaboration.

In recent years, several small cooperatives have been established, with some communities taking the initiative to develop solar and wind energy projects. However, in the county of Ida–Viru, the heart of Estonia’s just transition, there are no fully functioning renewable energy cooperatives to inspire and mobilise local communities.
