I grew up in the Jiu Valley. I spent my childhood among blocks and hills, among stories about the mines and hardworking people. Another part of my childhood, the summer time, was spent in the Târnava Valley, with my grandparents in a beautiful, diverse community: Romanians, Hungarians, Saxons, and Romani people.
In 2004, at the age of 19, I left for Sibiu. There I learned about politics, administration, institutions, and parties. I worked for 20 years only in the private sector, building: a small business in HoReCa, a real estate project, providing political consulting, and I also spent 4 years in social entrepreneurship. I have been a student and a teacher, a waiter, a shelf stocker. Sometimes in work gear as a simple worker, but also in a shirt and suit, in a coordinator role. I learned from all of this. I can say I am stronger and wiser!
But from 2023, I began to return to the Jiu Valley. And not just in thought – but also in action. For the people. For colleagues and friends. For places. But especially: for development plans. For the future!
That is why I am returning to the Jiu Valley. To build something good, sustainable, and beautiful together with the people here. Together, we bring joy to the Valley. We contribute to the people’s trust that it is possible to live with dignity, in peace, and with purpose. Because, beyond economic and social challenges, the Valley needs something essential: hope for a better future.
Hope for the future of the community . Hope for its people and for the Jiu Valley.
Because, beyond the problems, the Jiu Valley needs trust. Trust that things can be better.
