COP17: United Nations Biodiversity Conference 2026

Yerevan, Armenia

From 19 to 30 October 2026, Armenia will host the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity. COP17 will mark the first global review of collective progress towards the implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework – a landmark international agreement adopted in 2022 by 196 countries to halt and reverse global nature and biodiversity loss.

Bankwatch and its civil society partners will be there to highlight the impacts of international finance, and to promote meaningful public participation in finding sustainable solutions that benefit nature and people.
