Briefing    |    13 March 2023

Download

This briefing reviews the support provided to community energy through the EU’s public financing programmes (cohesion policy and recovery and resilience funds). The goal of the publication is to inform energy communities and managing authorities about the state of play of public finances. It explores to what extent cohesion and recovery and resilience policy programmes are supporting the development of energy communities in 12 European countries.

This briefing, developed by REScoop.eu, CEE Bankwatch Network and CAN Europe, is a preview of an upcoming, in-depth analysis of the allocation of dedicated funding for community energy through various public financing programmes in 14 countries.
