In April 2024, the Board of Directors at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development  approved a EUR 98 million loan for the ‘Regional Gasification Project’ in North Macedonia, led by state-owned gas company NOMAGAS.

However,  this briefing shows that the project cannot be considered to be aligned with the Paris Agreement, despite the Bank’s claims.
