Svaneti is my homeland

An initiative of Bankwatch.

Etseri stretches over a valley with a shy view of some of the most important peaks in Svaneti. A small stream irrigates it and divides it in two. The hill is highlighted by some towers that remind you, in case you have forgotten, that you are in Svaneti.

The locals here live from farming and from time to time you can see foreign tourists or volunteers hanging around Hanmer’s Guesthouse.
