Nakra

Nakra is the name of a village and a community but also the name of a river and a valley. Nakra is not accessible for everyone. It is far away. Its people, traditions and nature are different, isolated, special.

Nakra is the name of a village and a community but also the name of a river and a valley. Nakra is not accessible for everyone. It is far away. Its people, traditions and nature are different, isolated, special.

There are mineral springs, snowy slopes and chestnut trees. Only 5 kilometres from the main road Nakra is definitely a remote place.

It is also part of a hiking trail and it used to be a open border with Russia. But since the border was closed people learned how to live exclusively from their gardens, their forests and their river.
